Hey SQL bloggers! Did you know that SQL Saturday #67 in Chicago has a sponsorship level just for you? Check out the sponsor page and you’ll see me at the SQL Blogger level, all by myself. It’s lonely there right now, so sign up as a sponsor today. The sooner you get your logo there, the more it will be seen!
As I mentioned in a previous post, being a SQL Blogger sponsor at SQL Saturday #49 in Orlando was a top-ten source of visits to my blog. So even if you aren’t planning to attend SQL Saturday Chicago, this is a valuable reason to be a sponsor.
So sign up at this page and increase your blog’s exposure for $5. Yes, just five bucks and a few moments is all it takes. Be sure that you fill out everything on the sponsor signup page’s form. Especially important is to enter your blog’s URL for the “Web Site”, and equally important is to fill in the “URL to Logo”. Without this, there’s no logo, which means there’s no link to your blog. Yes, I learned this by experience with the Orlando event, and Jack Corbett (Blog|Twitter) graciously fixed my oversight. Once you’ve filled out everything, use the Sponsorship Level drop-down to choose “SQL Blogger($5)” and click Submit. An invoice with a PayPal link will be emailed to you.
What comes after that? After paying and checking that your logo shows up and all looks good, it’s time for the next step. What step is that? The step where you blog and tweet about being a SQL Blogger sponsor for SQL Saturday of course!
There were a dozen of us when this sponsorship level was offered at Orlando, so let’s see if we can beat that number for the Chicago event.
